Additional Information

There are currently 5 known amateur radio repeaters in the New Braunfels/Comal County
area. The APRS and wide area packet service digipeaters are working, too.  Please use these
systems to communicate with all area hams and get to know one another better.

Please check here often for changes occurring frequently to these and other systems.

Voice Repeaters

WB5LVI ID-147.000 MHz, negative offset, 103.5 Hz tone
Provides local coverage for the New Braunfels & Comal County areas.

WB5FNZ ID-146.440 MHz, simplex, 88.5 Hz tone
Part of the Southwest Lynx System, the largest statewide repeater system in
Texas.  See:

WD5IEH ID-443.500 MHz, positive offset, 141.3 tone "NB"
Capable of being linked to the Saltgrass Link System, this system provides communications in the
Gulf Coast and Central Texas parts of the State.  See:

WD5LVI ID-443.850 MHz, positive offset, 100.0 tone
Provides local coverage for the New Braunfels area and surrounding counties of Hayes, Guadalupe
and Bexar.

K5PWX ID-147.140 MHz, positive offset, 179.9 Hz tone
Provides wide-area coverage for the Comal, Hayes, Guadalupe, Williamson, Travis, Bexar and Kendall
counties.  This repeater is owned & operated by the San Antonio Repeater Organization, and although
not formally associated with GVARC, is used as the central gathering frequency during weather
emergencies,  for training net activities and for use by the South Texas Emergency net each night
at 7:00 PM.    Users are encouraged to join

Other area clubs

It is not GVARC’s intent to compete with the activities of other clubs in the area.  Our goal is to provide
repeaters for all to use, training and licensing help, mentoring and to grow with out area while having
